The objects of the Association are:
(a) to educate Canadian industry professionals wishing to become
certified business intermediaries;
(b) to create business standards and a code of ethics for Canadian
business intermediaries, and to uphold such standards and ethics
within the industry;
(c) to coordinate and create training and professional designations
for Canadian business intermediaries;
(d) to lobby various levels of government and industry with
respect to business intermediary industry needs;
(e) to educate the public about the process involved in the
sale, acquisition and merger of businesses;
(f) to coordinate with the International Business Brokers Association
and other international associations of business intermediaries;
(g) to do all such things as are incidental or conducive to
the attainment of the objects and the exercise of the powers
of the Corporation.
